Something Else

Terms

These are the terms for using Something Else. They're short because the deal is simple: you pay once, you get the programme, and if it isn't for you in the first fourteen days you get your money back.

Who we are. Something Else is operated by Helena Warwick-Cross trading as Something Else. Contact: hello@trysomethingelse.io. "We" in these terms means that business; "you" means the person using Something Else.

The service

Something Else is an eight-week, automated behaviour-change programme for adults who want to stop vaping, plus a free assessment that maps the moments that hold your vaping in place. The programme delivers one short experiment each morning, tracks which moments have retired, and ends after eight weeks. After it ends, your account keeps All Clear and the Ten minutes button for as long as we operate the service.

It is not medical treatment. Something Else is not a medical device, we are not medical professionals, and nothing in the programme is medical advice. It makes no promise about your outcome. Nobody monitors your use of it: the programme is automated, and it is not a crisis or support service. If you want medication support with stopping, free stop-smoking support is available across the UK. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to your GP or NHS 111.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or over, and the programme is sold in the UK only. By buying it you confirm both.

The free assessment

The assessment is free, needs no account, and the result is yours whether you buy anything or not. How we handle assessment data — including the email field, if you choose to use it — is in the privacy notice.

Price and payment

The programme costs £79, paid once. There is no subscription and nothing renews. The founding cohort price is £39 — the founding window opens when the programme opens, and its closing date will be shown here and on the checkout from that day. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see your card details. Prices include VAT where it applies.

Your fourteen days

If you decide the programme isn't for you within 14 days of buying it, we refund you in full. No questions, no forms — email hello@trysomethingelse.io from the address on your account, or use the refund option in the app, and the refund goes back to your original payment method. The 14 days run from the day you buy.

Because the programme is digital content that starts straight away, the law asks you to expressly agree at checkout that immediate access replaces the 14-day statutory cancellation right for digital content. You'll see that box at checkout. Our own guarantee above gives you the same 14 days back, without conditions — so agreeing costs you nothing in practice.

Your statutory rights are not affected by anything in these terms. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described — and if it isn't, you're entitled to a repair, replacement or refund regardless of our guarantee.

Your account

Your account is identified by your email address. It's for your personal use — one person, one programme; the experiments adapt to one person's week and are useless shared. Keep your login method to yourself. You can delete your account and its data at any time in the app; the privacy notice says exactly what deletion covers.

What you get, and what's ours

You get a personal, non-transferable right to use the programme for yourself. The programme's content — the experiments, the copy, the method's arrangement — is ours; please don't copy, resell or republish it. Anything you put in (your moments, your logs) is yours, handled as the privacy notice describes.

Availability and changes

We run the service with reasonable care and skill, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted — small outages, maintenance and fixes happen. We may improve the programme's content and software; we won't remove what you paid for. If we ever permanently shut the service down while your eight weeks are running, we'll refund you in full; if we shut down after your programme has ended, we'll give reasonable notice so you can note down your replacements from Ten Minutes.

If things go wrong

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law says can't be limited. Beyond that, our total liability to you in connection with the programme is capped at the price you paid for it. We're not liable for losses that aren't foreseeable, or that come from using the programme other than as intended.

Ending things

You can stop using Something Else at any time, and delete your account in the app. We can suspend or close an account that's being used to abuse the service (for example, attacking it, scraping it, or reselling access) — if we ever did that inside your first 14 days, the refund guarantee still applies.

The boring but necessary

We may update these terms — for example if the law changes or we add features. Material changes will be dated on this page, and won't take away anything you've already paid for. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales (or your local UK courts if you live elsewhere in the UK). If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If you're unhappy with anything, email hello@trysomethingelse.io — we read everything, even though nobody reads your logs.
